A Modern-Classic Bathroom Designed around a Piece of Art

The inspiration for this modern-classic bathroom is an ink drawing called Pilgrim by the German artist Klaus Holitzka. Just as the artwork itself, an achromatic colour scheme is injected with just a few bursts of bright red for a rather minimalist, but quite striking effect.

Efficient white walls, floors and fixtures are the clean canvas for graphic black detailing. Limited, but well calculated red accents bring warmth and additional character to the timeless black & white contrast.

Strict geometric shapes effortlessly coexist with relaxed freeform lines and classical curves in this space. Traditional marble stands next to high-tech resin, a sketched shower curtain ensures privacy around ultra-modern equipment.

The end result is a hard-working bathroom that is sleek, open-spirited and elegant – all at the same time. ♦
